TPO Thermoplastic Polyolefin

DESCRIPTION

Thermoplastic Polyolefin is a compounded alloy of polypropylene, elastomers and mineral fillers offering a unique balance of stiffness and thermal expansion. TPO has superior weatherability, so it does not require a UV cap and it ranks extremely high on impact and chemical resistance.  TPO can be color matched to your desired color shade.  It is available in both gloss and nonglossy finishes.  There are special blends for fire retardant TPO.  It can also be formulated for a soft touch surface.  TPO is an excellent choice for exterior applications where the environment may require a material that is both UV resistant and subject to impact loads.

Meyer Plastics customers have selected TPO for their vacuum formed material.  It can be easily run on prototype tools for testing an application.  We can quickly take your CAD model; CNC route a pattern then sample the part.  If it works well then there is the confidence to proceed with production tooling.
