PI Polyamide (Vespel®)
DESCRIPTION
Polyamide commonly known as Vespel® or PI is a polymer that exhibits high temperature performance exceeding 550 degrees F remaining mechanically tough and chemically resistant. Applications include aerospace parts and bearings, flexible printed circuits, heaters, bar code labels, pressure sensitive tape, electrical insulation, safety, PCB stencils, loudspeaker components, high-density electronic interconnects, high-temperature mechanical seals, photovoltaic modules. Vespel is a trade name of Dupont®. It makes an excellent metal replacement for harsh environments.
Note: Due to the high cost and variable lead times, Meyer Plastics will need to source this material once we understand your application. Call, text, or email us and we will get right on your solution.
