Meyer Plastics has over 70 years of experience assisting customers with their product concepts. We serve customers in multiple ways and in just about every industry. Food displays, medical trays, tabletops for arts & crafts, automatic pool cover parts, conveyor guards, school bus parts, seat supports for boats, the variety of parts is infinite. These parts are made of several different plastics; HDPE polyethylene, ABS acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, PMMA acrylic, TPO thermoplastic polymer olefin, PC polycarbonate, HIPS high impact polystyrene, and Kydex pvc/acrylic to name the main players. We are happy to host a customer visit and demonstrate our capabilities for a better understanding of this process.

Our native CAD software is Solid Works, which is compatible with any other format translating through DXF or IGES files. If solid model files are not available, we can recreate the product in Solid Works for your approval. While we are at it, we will evaluate the design and make sure it is optimized for the intended material and purpose. Meyer Plastics can also reverse engineer the product by scanning a sample.

An important step in design, is specifying the performance of the part. What properties are critical for the part to function properly during the complete service life? How does the part fit in the greater assembly? In what environment will the part need to perform? What happens to the part at the end of its life cycle? These are all critical to quality so need to be specified.
