Employee Benefits
401K
Meyer Plastics recognizes the importance of saving for retirement and offers eligible employees a 401(k) plan. Upon 6 months of service an employee is eligible to enroll in the company 401(k) plan. Eligibility, vesting, and all other matters relating to these plans are explained in the plan overview.
Medical Insurance
Employees are eligible at 60 days. We have an ICHRA insurance platform. ICHRA is shorthand for "Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement." ICHRAs allow employers to reimburse employees a fixed amount of money each month for health insurance premium and health care related out-of-pocket expenses if they purchase their own health insurance plan. This is an alternate way of providing quality health insurance benefits to employees with the same tax benefits as a traditional group plan.
HSA Program
If you select an HSA eligible medical plan, you will be able to have a Health Savings account. There is a list of items and services that can be purchased with the HSA account. The account is pre-taxed, and Meyer Plastics contributes $900.00 a year to this account if you contribute an amount from every paycheck. To be eligible you need to be enrolled in a medical plan with Meyer Plastics that is HSA eligible.
Prescriptions Subscription
Program Details:
- Eligibility: This is only eligible for employees who are enrolled in our medical insurance plan.
- Reimbursement Amount: It is a full reimbursement of the annual fee only. Subscription costs are $36.00 per year for individuals, $72.00 per year for families. We will not be reimbursing any prescriptions costs, just for the annual service fee.
- Family Plan Reimbursement: Reimbursement for family plans is only applicable if the employee selects a family medical insurance plan.
- Proof of Purchase: Employees must purchase the plan independently and provide a receipt/email as proof for reimbursement.
Ancillary Insurance
Employees are eligible at 60 days. Ancillary benefits such as Dental, Vision, Voluntary Life of Employee/Spouse/Child, Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), Accident, Hospital Indemnity, and Critical Illness. Meyer Plastics provides eligible employees with a $25,000 Basic Life and AD&D insurance at no cost to them. Additional amounts can be purchased if an employee wants more than $25,000. Rates for ancillary benefits are calculated by age, tobacco use, medical history and pay.
Paid Time Off (PTO)
Meyer Plastics recognizes the importance of time off from work to relax, spend time with family, and enjoy leisure activities. The company provides paid time off to full-time employees for this purpose and employees are highly encouraged to take time off during the year. Part-time employees may be eligible to receive a reduced PTO allocation based on circumstances. Full-time employees are given PTO time and do not accrue PTO.
