PP-Polypropylene
DESCRIPTION
Polypropylene belongs to the group of polyolefins family and is partially crystalline and non-polar. Its properties are similar to polyethylene, but it is slightly harder and more heat-resistant. Polypropylene is a mechanically tough material maintaining its toughness through a broad temperature range. It also has a high chemical resistance which makes it useful for containment vessels and plating tanks.
Polypropylene is available as a homopolymer and a copolymer. Homopolymer polypropylene has better tensile strength while Copolymer polypropylene exhibits better chemical resistance and thermal stability. Meyer Plastics has a selection of both types in sheet and rod. Call us and we will supply it the way you want.
