ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene)

DESCRIPTION

ABS  is a terpolymer(3) made by polymerizing styrene and acrylonitrile in the presence of polybutadiene. The chemical “chains” attract each other, and they bind together.  This provides ABS with a superior hardness, gloss, and toughness into a low cost visually attractive sheet material that can be easily formed into a multitude of industrial parts.  Meyer Plastics has helped design and vacuum form thousands of OEM parts using ABS to provide our customers with a very cost effect solution.  Industries include transportation, agriculture, electronics, medical, recreational, and many more. ABS sheet can be formulated for color matching, food grade compliant, fire rated, microbial resistant, enhanced impact strength, and UV resistant.  It is also easy to recycle and can be extruded with a mixture of virgin and recycled content or as a 100% recycled core with virgin capped layers to ensure great cosmetics.  ABS with a Haircell texture finish is standard, but several other finishes are available.  Meyer Plastics stocks black sheet and can source for your specific need.
